Trans–Saturnine Planets – Knowing about Uranus, Neptune & Pluto astrologically

We have been aware of the characteristics and influence of the nine planets for thousands of years. But we know very little about the planets – Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, also called trans-saturnine planets. Even, there are different views of astrologers on what their rulerships are, where they are exalted or debilitated, where they are friendly or inimical. My findings, based on my research and study of the characteristics, nature and influence of these trans-saturnine planets are mentioned hereunder :

Uranus is the 7th planet in the Solar System, and the first planet discovered beyond the 5 planets that are visible with the unaided eye. Sir William Herschel discovered it on March 13, 1781.

It is widely considered that the natural ruler of Uranus is Aquarius and it has its exaltation in the sign of Scorpio. Uranus exerts its influence similar to Saturn and Jupiter. It denotes intellectual genius, inspirations, inventive faculty, originality, eccentricity and fashion. It is the significator of revolutionary ideas and scientific progress. It signifies scientists, economists, trade-cycles, industries, electricity etc.

Uranus is an airy planet.if it is aspected by Mercury, it gives a keen intellect. If it is afflicted, it causes insanity. In the 7th house, Uranus makes chaotic marriage relations.

Neptune is the eighth and farthest known planet from the Sun in the Solar System. On September 23, 1846, a German astronomer, Johann Gottfried Galle, used Le Verrier's chart to actually locate and observe Neptune.

It is widely considered that Neptune has its exaltation in the sign of Aquarius. Neptune too is believed to be similar to Saturn and Jupiter. It represents artistic genius and insanity. It indicates sowing, chaos, death, destruction, sensation, mysticism, glamour, communication system and radio. It’s a devastating planet.. It is the significator of communal flavour, democratic political movement, government authority, movements of the occult etc.

Neptune, if in malefic aspect of Saturn, Moon or Mars, produces lunatics; but in benefic aspect of Jupiter or Venus produces great devotees. Transit of Neptune through Sagittarius  causes the production of spiritual reformation or the emergence of a great religious movement.

Pluto is a dwarf planet in the Kuiper belt, a ring of bodies beyond Neptune. Pluto was discovered on February 18th, 1930 by Clyde Tombaugh at the Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff, Arizona.

It is widely considered that Pluto has its exaltation in the sign of Virgo. It signifies destruction, economic affluence, social welfare, kidnapping and television. It is the lord of conspiracies. It is the significator of dictatorship and domination of politics. It rises public opinion against the government. It signifies material and spiritual evolution and progress of mankind and indicates emergence of new and stable government.

Pluto in the Ascendant or in the tenth house produces persons who make drastic changes.

When these saturnine planets transit or come in conjunction with Saturn or Jupiter, major impotant events occur.
