Effect of different planets in Second House

Planets have different effects in different houses. This effect may be benefic or malefic depending upon their placement in exaltation/ debilitation, Moola- trikona, own house or natural friend’s/ enemy’s house. This effect may be favorable if it is under the influence of natural benefic planets like Jupiter, Mercury, Venus or Moon; or unfavorable, if it is under the influence of  natural malefic planets like Saturn, Rahu, Mars, Sun or Ketu.
Let us start enumerating the effect of different planets in the Second House which is primarily considered for accumulated wealth, speech, eyes, face and application of knowledge.
The effects of different planets in the Second House are as follows:
SUN:
The planet Sun is the karaka for eyes and face. The natives with Sun in their second house are generally wise but egoistic. If Sun is favorable, they are healthy with good eye-sight and earn good name and fame.
Afflicted or malefic Sun causes face/mouth or eye disease. The native faces stammering problem if malefic Sun is associated with Mercury and the second lord is weak. If Sun is afflicted or debilitated, loss of wealth occurs due to government penalty. In many a cases, it becomes the root cause of domestic disharmony.
MOON:
The planets Moon and Jupiter are the karakas for accumulated wealth. The natives with Moon in their second house are handsome and soft spoken. They are family persons and enjoy all sorts of comforts.
Generally, they are not good communicators. Their performance in education keeps fluctuating.
MARS:
The natives with favorable Mars in their second house acquire good education and considerable material comforts. They are capable of defeating their enemies easily.
In case of afflicted or malefic mars, they are unable to take rational decisions. They also become miser.
MERCURY:
The planet Mercury is the karaka for speech. The natives with Mercury in their second house are intelligent, soft spoken, educated and good orator. If aspected by Jupiter, they become proficient in mathematics. They usually enjoy good luxurious life.
Afflicted or unfavorable Mercury ruins their education. They also become prone to windy problem.
JUPITER:
The planets Jupiter and Moon are the karakas for accumulated wealth. The natives with Jupiter in their second house are attractive, intelligent, articulate and sweet tongued. They earn considerable wealth. They prove to be good administrators.
In case of afflicted or weak Jupiter, their education suffers. They, sometimes, face scarcity of money  and start indulging in immoral activities.
VENUS:
The natives with Venus in their second house are handsome, humble, helpful and intelligent. They are prosperous and love all aesthetic things. They like company of opposite sex very much.
Weak and afflicted Venus causes eye-trouble.
SATURN:
The natives with Saturn in their second house find western direction favorable to earn their livelihood.
The natives with afflicted, weak or unfavorable Saturn face lot of ups and down in their finances. They become rude and harsh in their dealings and even don’t care for their relations. Chances of remarriage are also seen in many cases.
RAHU:
The natives with Rahu in their second house are diplomatic in their behavior. They may prosper well in the business like restaurant, fish or meat.
Rahu in this position causes disharmony in family life and losses in financial matters.
KETU:
The natives with Ketu in their second house are humble and sweet natured. They are usually inclined towards art & literature.
Unfavorable Ketu causes throat and eye problems.
One thing that the readers of this blog should keep in mind is that the above-mentioned effects are general in nature. It is very important to take into consideration the strength of the house and its lord, location of the lord, the exaltations and debilitations of the house-lords, conjunctions, planets in that particular house and various aspects over it, before arriving at any conclusion.
